Pelvic girdle pain is common in late pregnancy. As the hormone Relaxin softens connective tissue to allow for greater pelvic mobility in birth, it can cause destabilization and pain while you are pregnant. Most belly bands are focused on lifting or securing the tummy. This belt is designed to sit lower - right at the pubic bone and across the top of the bum cheeks - to help stabilize the pelvis, specifically. It can help with pubic symphysis pain and SI or back-of-the-pelvis pain.
It can also be helpful for post-birth, if your symptoms of pelvic joint pain persist.
