I always had Desitin and this Aquaphor on hand for diaper changes. I used Desitin just if I saw redness while I used this Aquaphor for regular use after each diaper change. Having this layer of lubrication helped especially with poopy diapers because it provided a layer between the poop and their skin which meant it was easier to clean off and their skin was protected.
